Anand, Tamil Nadu: Each and everything was properly planned. The cost of the trip was very, very less compared to everything you are providing. Harsheta, Germany: I remember everybody's name and the connection that I made in just three days. I see every one of you as Krishna. Suresh, Dubai: If you two had not held this space, I don't know where my spiritual path would have led. You gave me the right anchor.

Your place in the family is waiting.

Why this Yatra, and why with us

Not a tour. A pilgrimage.

Your spiritual journey is entirely your own. But there are a few places on this earth that every seeker must experience at least once: places that carry the grace of thousands of years of seeking.

When you travel to such places with a specific intention, sincere devotion and a Sangha that walks the same path, it is no longer a tour. It becomes a Yatra. That is why we travel together.

Kasar Devi, where Swami Vivekananda meditated, is said to be one of only three places on earth on the Van Allen belt. Jageshwar holds 124 ancient Shiva temples. At Babaji's Cave, Mahavatar Babaji initiated Lahiri Mahasaya in 1861.

Come as strangers. Leave as family.

Most people arrive alone, carrying their own questions. Somewhere between the first aarti and the last goodbye, something shifts: you meditate side by side in caves, share meals and bonfires, sit in silence at dawn. Long after the yatra ends, the WhatsApp group is still buzzing with photos, birthdays and plans for the next journey.

That is our Yatra family. There's a place in it for you.

Itinerary

Four days, four sacred places

An unhurried pace, with yoga each morning and time to let each place settle into you.

The Kasar Devi temple on its rock among the pines.
Swami Vivekananda

Day 1 · 19 Nov

Kasar Devi

Kasar Devi has drawn seekers for over a century. Swami Vivekananda meditated here, and many yogis and mystics followed in his footsteps. Something about this ridge makes stillness come easily; people often describe slipping into unusually deep meditative states without effort. Some link it to the Van Allen Belt dipping close to Earth here. More folklore than fact, but this land carries something seekers have felt for generations.

What we'll experience

  • The cave where Swami Vivekananda meditated
  • The ancient Kasar Devi temple, with its Shiva shrine
  • The evening Aarti of Maa Kasar Devi, one of the most powerful moments of the whole yatra
  • Sunset over the Himalayan range from the ridge

Your day Arrive & check in · Welcome circle · Temple & aarti · Meditation night

The ancient stone temples of Jageshwar Dham among the deodars.

Day 2 · 20 Nov

Jageshwar Dham

A valley of 124 stone temples, some more than a thousand years old, standing together in a deodar forest beside a flowing stream. This is where the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra is said to have first been revealed, the mantra chanted across the world for protection and healing. Walking in, the first thing you notice is the sound: water, wind through the deodars, and very little else.

What we'll experience

  • The main temple complex, 124 shrines across the valley
  • Sitting with the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra being chanted where it was revealed
  • The Jyotirlinga, revered here for centuries
  • The deodar forest and the stream alongside the temples

Your day Yoga morning · Jageshwar Dham · Recreational night with music & dance

The entrance to Mahavatar Babaji's Cave.
Mahavatar Babaji

Day 3 · 21 Nov

Mahavatar Babaji's Cave

The cave where Mahavatar Babaji initiated Lahiri Mahasaya into Kriya Yoga, the moment that brought this practice back into the world after centuries. Through Lahiri Mahasaya's lineage it reached Paramahansa Yogananda, and through him, millions of seekers. Reaching the cave takes a 1.5 km walk through dense deodar forest. By the time you arrive, something has already quietened down.

What we'll experience

  • A 1.5 km hike through deodar forest to the cave
  • Meditation inside the cave itself
  • The small ashram, the temple and the stream below

Your day Early drive · Forest hike · Meditation in the cave · Closing circle

Neem Karoli Baba wrapped in his blanket.

Day 4 · 22 Nov

Kainchi Dham

The ashram Neem Karoli Baba established in 1964, set between two hills that cross like a pair of scissors, which is where the name comes from. Devotees simply called him Maharaj-ji, and what he's remembered for isn't a philosophy or a method, but an unconditional love that asked nothing in return. Seekers have come here from all over the world ever since.

Kainchi Dham falls naturally on your route home. We plan the timing so you avoid the heaviest crowds; our previous yatris have had beautiful, unhurried darshan this way.

Your day Breakfast & goodbyes · Kainchi Dham darshan · Drop-off for onward travel

Along the way

More than the four

Four days is short for places this far apart. So wherever the roads and hours allow, we've built in more: places most people drive right past.

Sri Ramakrishna

Ramakrishna Kutir, Almora

A quiet ashram from 1916, carrying the Ramakrishna–Vivekananda lineage. It holds Bright End Corner, where Vivekananda would sit looking out over the valley.

Swami Vivekananda

Kakrighat

On the banks of the Kosi, possibly the most beautiful spot on this route. Neem Karoli Baba lived and meditated here, and Swami Vivekananda meditated under a peepal tree in 1890. Just 500 metres off the road, and almost nobody stops.

Prehistoric rock paintings on stone.

The ancient stone shelter

Rock paintings made by prehistoric humans, drawn onto stone thousands of years before any temple here was built. These hills have been pulling people in for far longer than we imagine.
